What would appear to resemble ancient imperial Chinese headwear, is actually an extremely noteworthy conversation piece. Comprised of multiple elements and visual specifics, this ring looks so close to what an empress would dawn atop her forehead. With a red aventurine secured up at the top, hugged and caressed by copper wire and a dangling tigerseye charm that rests beautifully in the center. All carefully curated on top of a gold toned pinwheel hoop that was an earring in it's past life. Empress Wu Zetian was both the first and only female emperor in China's History. An extremely fierce presence, known for her opulent fashion and extremely unforgiving nature. Because her rule in a strictly patriarchal society was unprecedented, she utilized ornate jewelry, towering headdresses, and embroidered traditional silk robes to project divine authority and legitimate her reign.
